Prof. Jien-Wei Yeh is the founder in the field of high entropy alloy. Before 2004, there was no information or study on the high entropy alloy. In 2004, Prof. Jien-Wei Yeh led his research team to become the pioneers of the study of high entropy alloy by giving it a name and definitions, as well as proposing its core effects and basic principles. 2014 and after, he co-authored the book “High-Entropy Alloys” with world-renown materials scientists, which is the first publication in the world that describes high entropy alloy comprehensively.
